Description
Meet “Lucky” – A Kind, Sensible, and Promising Young Prospect
Lucky is an absolute pleasure to have in the barn – friendly, easy-going, and eager to please. He stands quietly for the farrier, enjoys his baths (he’s known to play with the hose!), and can be left unattended in cross-ties or tied to the trailer without fuss. A true barn favorite, Lucky is also a big fan of treats and attention, making him a joy to handle on the ground.
Like the other horses we’ve had from his dam, Lucky is an exceptionally easy keeper. He continues to fill out beautifully as he matures and may still add a little more height, giving him an even stronger presence in the ring.
Lucky began his post-track training in late 2022 and quickly proved himself to be one of the easiest horses we’ve ever restarted. Under saddle, he is sensible, straightforward, and willing. He readily picks up both leads, has a natural feel for rhythm, and is already confidently working through pole exercises, leg yields, and small jumping courses. His easy adaptability, combined with a calm and curious attitude, makes him an excellent candidate for a wide range of disciplines.
With his kind nature, solid foundation, and natural athletic ability, Lucky has all the right ingredients to become a versatile partner – whether you’re looking for a sport horse prospect, a future show ring competitor, or simply a reliable and enjoyable riding companion.
